Day 120/365

We made our annual trip to the tulip festival with Shannon's family.
The kids hate the photos and love the "rides."
I love the tulips, the friends, the photo ops, the food and the fun.
One of the highlights: we were blessed with sun breaks and NO RAIN!

Day 119/365

katie drinking tea

The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton was today.
Andrew, Katie and I celebrated with scones and tea.
Pinkies Up!

Day 118/365

I was well protected this afternoon with "Super Princess, Super Grace and Super Andrew."
Bad Guys won't even think about coming here with these Supers around!

Day 117/365

A spontaneous kiss of the hand from Andrew on the way to the car after Easter brunch.
One of my favorite Easter morning memories.

Day 116/365

Easter Morning with my 3 little loves.
Matthew 7
Andrew 5
Katie 3

Day 115/365

Before church on Easter morning.
Too cold and rainy for a photo outside.
4 of my greatest blessings.
(I think it's funny that Katie and Andrew look like they have my crooked smile in this photo. :)
They really don't though.  Lucky them!)

(PS.  My "Picture of the Day" will actually be some Easter photos this week as I want more than just one photo of Easter represented in our family scrapbook).

Day 114/365

Jammies, Easter Baskets and 3 excited kids before church on Easter morning.

Saturday, April 23, 2011

Day 113/365

6 smiles. 12 eyes looking at the camera. 2 happy moms.

Easter Egg Hunt with Shannon's family.

Sunshine and making fun memories with friends = a happy day.

Day 112/365

Little fingers sprinkle "pixie dust" on our Easter Eggs.

Day 111/365

It isn't a holiday without some cookie or cupcake decorating!

Day 110/365

Climbing trees in the backyard on a sunny day.
A preview of summer.
Can't wait!

Day 109/365

Dan (who was working from home)
came downstairs to find me ignoring the lunch dishes and stealing
a catnap under the blanket with my little ones.
I was SO tired and cold, I ignored all that I was supposed to be doing,
turned on the end of a movie on tv for the kids,
snuggled under the blanket and dozed for a bit.
Dan snapped a photo and said, "There's your 'picture of the day.'"

Day 108/365

Matthew's first Little League season.
Second game was tonight.
(No photos from the first due to very cold and rainy weather).
He's doing great ~ throwing a good distance, and hitting straight from the pitcher!
(Coach pitch).

Day 107/365

Three cold little ones.
Dressed up in "uniforms" for a modern day Palm Sunday parade at church.
Andrew and Katie were happy paraders (Andrew was especially joyful).
Matthew was quite serious and reserved with his palm. :)

Day 106/365

I love:
Her dirty nose and cheek.
Her eyes.
Her smile.
Her wispy curls.
Her baby teeth.
How happy she makes my heart.

Day 105/365

Real Life.
I gather all the hampers and sort the laundry in my bathroom.
The kids love to play in the laundry and hampers.
Why exactly, do we buy toys?

Day 104/365

First day of Andrew's group Tae Kwon Do instruction.
The excitement on his face during class matches the happiness in my heart for my little boy and his new passion.
I've never seen this side of Andrew before.
It is a joy.

Day 103/365

I love this outfit on the Bug.
She looks so cheerful and little in it.
She chose to sit on the door step and insisted on holding the lady bug.
It's becoming her signature picture spot/prop.
I have other preferences, but at least she's cooperating!

Day 102/365

SO proud of Andrew today.
He did a fantastic job at his introductory Tae Kwon Do class.
He LOVED it.
And I loved watching him feel so happy and proud of himself.

Day 101/365

After enduring 3 straight weeks of the kids having the flu and having the flu, bronchitis and strep throat all at the same time herself (while her husband was gone most of the time), I thought Shannon deserved a little break.

I kept the girls for a while this morning so she could have some time to herself.  Katie was thrilled.
So was Andrew.   So was I, for that matter.
(Many cute photos to come on the 3 little loves blog ~ if I can manage to get caught up).

Day 100/365

Dan, Dan the planting Man.
3 Arborvitaes down, 4 to go.
Don't you love his masculine pink landscaping debris bin?
He loves it too. :)

Day 99/365

One of my very favorite days of the year with one of my favorite people.
Lunch & shopping with Shannon to celebrate my birthday.
(Katie did not come along, just insisted on being in the photo).
Lots of talking, delicious lunch at Claim Jumper, a new fun home store discovered, and a few fun purchases.
A perfect day.

Day 98/365

A sweet big brother tenderly greets his little sister.
Andrew is such a sweet, sweet boy who deeply loves his family.
He cradled Katie's face in his hands when he got off the train.
Little love.

Day 97/365

The boys wave goodbye as Katie and I leave for home.
The boys will follow at 5:30 (!) am tomorrow morning on the train with Grammie.
Matthew was sad to see me go and had been giving me lots of hugs and snuggles.
I'm looking forward to being reunited with them tomorrow morning!

Day 96/365

I couldn't resist photographing these little feet (which are just like their Daddy's)
when I saw them side by side in the bathtub.
I always tell Andrew,
"I love you from the tips of your toes to the top of your nose."

Tuesday, April 5, 2011

Day 95/365

A very fun morning spent at the park with Shannon and her girls.
So wonderful to have some time together.
I think Matthew's face says it all.

Monday, April 4, 2011

Day 94/365

The weather might not feel like Spring,
but the Bug has a spring in her step.
Hopping the stepping stones in Nana's back yard on Spring Break.

Sunday, April 3, 2011

Day 93/365

Matthew carefully laid Daffodils around Dad's headstone to "decorate" it.
Katie brought her own bloom as a "flower surprise" for Grandpapa.
She spoke sweetly to him when she left the flowers...precious.
Andrew and Matthew wanted their beloved Gus & Henry to be there too.
We all miss you, Dad.

Day 92/365

Mom and Gail flew into Portland after a week in Maui.
They arrived with a lot of laughter and funny stories.
Alvin &The Cougar and The Zipline topped the list.

Day 91/365

I chaperoned the 1st grade field trip to the Rice NW Museum of Rocks & Minerals.
A one hour drive.
45 minutes too long.
All I can say is God Bless teachers and Bus Drivers!
I do so love Matthew's classmates though.
First graders are precious.
