Day 97/365 ~ 2012

2012-096a

We joined friends from when Matthew and Andrew were in pre-school for a fun trip to the zoo.  Fun & COLD. We could see our breath when we first arrived and even wore coats over fleece jackets & gloves, (in April, really?!) but since it wasn't raining, a trip outside was definitely in order!

2012-096

Thankfully, it warmed up as the day wore on. And the kids (& Moms!) had a great time!

Day 296/365

day296

Happy Hour (or five hours) at Lapellah with our small group ladies (with the happy new addition of Katie!).
I love the diversity of personalities and yet the common ground of our faith that we stand on.
Conversation always ranges from funny to thought provoking with a lot of commiseration on parenting and managing family life.
I always leave feeling grateful for these friends and wishing we had even more time to talk.

Day 243/365

day243

A sweet moment.
A photo taken through the family room window as Jonathan, Samuel and Matthew held hands and prayed over their dinner outside.
(Andrew was at soccer practice, the moms/girls were eating inside).
I'm very grateful for these positive friendships in my boys' lives.

Day 218/365

day217all

All together for the first time in 10 years with my best childhood friends/family.
A very special birthday brunch for Kristi.
A wonderful time...just not enough.
I adore these ladies.

Day 215/365

day214

My long time friend Ami dropped by for a visit today.
We've been friends for 25 years!
We can get busy and go a while without chatting but can always pick right up where we left off.
Ours is an easy friendship.
A dear friend.

Day 204/365

day204

Mandy's family (who live in Kansas City) came through town after we got home from the beach today.
We had a great visit over pizza.
A dear friend from college, I was so happy to have a little time with her.
