Day 362/365 ~ 2012

My all-house clean out commenced.

First stop:  The kitchen desk cabinet/drawers.

Everything came out to be sorted, organized & edited.

An "after" photo would have been easier on the eyes.

This is the It-Gets-Worse-Before-It-Gets-Better part.

Day 300/365 ~ 2012

This sight gives me peace.
I've worked diligently on filing/acting on the stack of papers cluttering my desk during any spare moment I've had.
Trying to get caught up on things...I've fallen far behind.
This sight makes me very happy.
(Matthew made that sweet autumnal wreath. I love it).

Day 163/365 ~ 2012

And my organizing resumes.
Dan and I spent part of the weekend cleaning out our files and reorganizing our system.
A stack of papers 18 inches high is heading off for shredding!
One more task down toward making life simpler and easier to manage.

Day 113/365 ~ 2012

Sunshine, glorious sunshine!!!
Dan & I cleaned the garage while the kids played.  A task neglected for far too long, we're both relieved it is done.






After dinner while on our way to the grocery store, The Bug & I stopped off at an empty field that she saw so that she could gather dandelions.
Few things delight her more than picking flowers.
I told her "Mamas are never too busy to stop and pick flowers."
Not the complete truth.
While it doesn't happen as much as I'd like, I hope she does grow up remembering her life was sprinkled with spontaneous moments like this.

Day 240/365

The organizing/clean out continues!
Working on my kitchen desk today.
This was an idea I copied from my favorite organizing website.
All the kids' craft supplies now fit in this utencil holder.
Crayons, pencils, paints, scissors, stickers and glue sticks on the other side.
It's working great!
(PS. The colored pencils stay together because I put them in inside the crayon boxes that I no longer needed).

Day 235/365

I still haven't gone digital.
My new planner arrived and it's nearly done being filled in with our known 2011-2012 schedule.
Those little spaces fill up much faster than I'd like!
I really need just one more month of summer....

Day 230/365

Packing and unpacking is the theme of our August.
Getting ready for our trip to Vegas!
2 large suitcases.  1 Duffel Bag.  1 small overnight bag.
4 backpacks, a tote, a stroller and a carseat.
Whew.

Day 229/365

Still slowly making headway on the great house clean out.
I organized the meds/sunscreen that we keep in the kitchen into this
little craft organizer.
Getting there...little by little.

Day 193/365

After sorting, sorting, sorting, we have officially finished cleaning out the Bonus room toys.
What a job!
It was a family affair.
Truth be told, I enjoyed it. :)
The boys are enjoying the results, but the process was painful at times.

Day 176/365

The Great House Clean out of 2011 continues.
The Linen Closet and kids' bathroom are now finished.
The bonus room was started today.
I'm determined to see it through, but it's been a LOT of work.
We have TOO MUCH STUFF!
