Much to the boys' dismay we will not buy them a Nintendo DS.
Or an ipod touch.
Or an ipad.
Oh, the cruelty!
(They have a wii ~ which provides enough temptation to manage).
As a result, the kids made their own ipads and have been playing "games" on them.
They boys narrate the game and say what they're doing as they play together ~ it's great!
They are using their imagination, no small games to lose & it's free!
Cultivating imagination is a wonderful gift to give your children. Toys and tech gadgets come and go, but the memories of "what we did when we were kids" lives with you forever.
